I want to make a nightgown for my mum. Does anyone know where I could find some good free online patterns?

I want it to be a sleeveless light nighgown for summer with a matching robe. I've sewn a bit before but nothing this complex and I'm a little lost. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks.

Try this page. I think you could eliminate the sleeve part and turn the edges in around the armhole or use bias tape around it. You might make one out of an old sheet first.

Go to Adult clothing patterns, then click on Late 15th Century Italian Chemise Pattern, then click on to where they have moved it to.

Here are some more free patterns for you.

Hope this helps you out.

I have a velvet nightgown that rolls up at the hem. How do I correct this problem.?

I have tried undoing the hem but it still rolls up a lot--like 6" of fabric. Its like a rope around the bottom.

You can get weighted cord that they sew into the bottom of net curtains to keep them taut between top and bottom.

Nothing will help. Its the way the material is woven.

Sew in a liner and use backing on the new hem

Do you think that walking around in a nightgown like looks like a summer dress without a bra is disrespectful?

It's not overtly sexy looking or see-thru but who are you willing to walk around like that in front of? Besides your husband/bf of course.

I'd probably wear it around my husband's buddies but cross my arms over my chest...lol. Funny thing you ask that, i had on my jammies last night, a tight white thin tee shirt without a bra and my husband comes strolling in with his friends that showed up, didnt have time to hide, you can imagine the cold weather jokes...lol

I guess it depends on where your wearing it. I wouldn't wear it to a night out with friends, but i guess at home or a walk on the beach wearing something like that won't harm anybody. Hope i helped xXx

Hmmm sounds okay

just aslong as it doesnt look like u aint got a bra on..

Family, friends, even neighbours if i've just walked outside to get the paper or something.

It's just a nightgown.

Depends who you are aiming to be disrespectful to.

In house you can wear but unkown people & out side houe can be avoided

You can wear that around me I wont mind.

umm yeah... lol... the only person who would like to see u naked or partially naked is the one u get it on with.. otherwise, no one would like to see that.

How do you remove semen from a girls Polyester Nightgown?

lol I don't want to go into details on how this happened, kind of a Christmas incident, any-who. The night gown is 100% Polyester.

I did something that appears to have been a dumb idea, I tried wetting it and using paper towels to soak it up and rub the stain out a little, and that didn't do anything really.

So that idea doesn't work.

um u shuld open the washer door put the gown in close the door add detergent and press start.

Wash it in the washing machine with some laundry detergent. Dry it on delicate (warm) and put it back where you found it.

put it in the washing machine :-)!?

How can I wear a maxi dress without it looking like a nightgown?

And how do you wear them if you've got over a D cup bust?

Maxi dresses look best on taller women. So if you are lucky and already have height, wear your maxi with flat gladiator sandals. If your quite small wear your maxi dress with wedges to give you that gorgeus height.

Also, try wearing big chunky bangles with a maxi dress. Adds more glam and looks really good. Wooden bangles look so hot with a maxi right now.

Maxi dresses look so good on women with bigger busts. A woman with a smaller bust will find it harder to pull off a maxi dress as it will make them appear flatter.

If you feel like your still wearing a 'nightgown', try wearing a shrug or small cardi over the top so you feel a bit more covered and dressed.

Hope this helps x

If you've got big boobs you should wear something like a cute little cardigan or shrug over it so it doesnt draw so much attention to your chest.

Also, wedges and chucky jewellery to dress it up a bit.

=)

I think you would need one that is reasonably fitted.

wear some bulky bracelets with it, hair up, and wear wedges.

hmm... with jeans. I know that sounds weird.. but it can look cool if done right.

Where can I get a knitting pattern for a girl's nightgown?

I want to knit my 6yo daughter some light cotton nightgowns for spring but I can't find any patterns. I'm looking for a simple pattern with a plain bodice and a full/swing skirt. I'd like to add my own embellishments like lace edging on the shoulder straps. But I need a plain pattern to start with. Thanks!

That's a lot of knitting, but here is a link. Good luck.

Hobby Lobby, JoAnn Fabrics and also Ebay

Try knitting.com or even on the DIY network, they have a knitting show that might give you some links. You might have to improvise some of it, but if you can find pieces of what you're looking for, you can put them together to make one.

Lincraft, i live in Australia, don't know if u have that store wherever u live, and also spotlight, lol my mum shops at those places

First I'd start by looking for sun dresses instead of night gowns.

This has sleeves but you could always skip that part. Has a lacey look so would be cooler.
