What kinds of toddler and twin bed prices are parents willing to pay?

We have a custom kids bed-making business, and this year is difficult on sales. I'm trying to get our prices low enough to be affordable for the average middle class family but high enough to still earn a living.

My question is to parents: What prices would you think are reasonable for a toddler or twin wooden bed that is custom-made how you like it? Is there a threshold which you would not exceed for a toddler bed shaped like an airplane or car, or a twin?

Our daughter has the Pottery Barn Larkin Sleigh crib with a conversion kit. Retails for $1000, we had a friend's discount but still shelled out around $700. At the time of the purchase we were upper middle to high, with the tough economy we are now middle class.So how things are now from a budget conscious consumer's point I would not pay more than $350 for a crib but it has to have a toddler bed conversion kit.
